The six southern districts of Bangladesh are the lands of tragedy where , in an aftermath of a terrible storm a week ago, people wail and weep for their lost ones, they beg for a piece of bread perhaps a bite of cookies and half a glass of water .
This correspondent while traveling at Morolganj and Shoronkhola in Bagerhat and in different areas of Pirojpur , the crops are totally ruined. In an estimate , it was found that the paddy in eight hundred to ten hundred thousand hectares of land were completely destroyed.
Reconstruction of houses destroyed in the storm requires money and people do not have any money to eat even, not to speak of rebuilding houses. So they live under the open sky with their stomachs aching for the dearth of food and their hearts for the loss of the dear ones.
