Professor Amlan Dutta , a renowned academician and intellectual personality from Kolkata said what happened on November 21, centering on Muslim youths’ violent demonstration against Taslima Nasreen’s stay in West Bengal set a bad example .
He also criticized the left front government in West Bengal which eventually bowed to the demands of the Muslim fundamentalists to banish Taslima Nasreen, the Bangladeshi born controversial author. He thinks that the demands of the Muslim extremists were unjustified and illegal too.
