Bangladesh Cultural Affairs Adviser Ayub Quadri categorically said that artifacts that was sent to Paris for an exhibition will be brought back home.
He admitted his failure in informing the people about sending artifacts to France at a press conference. He said there had been some misunderstanding. The briefing was organized following media reports on sending the artifacts to display at an exhibition to be held at 'Gimme National Museum of Asian Arts' in Paris. The museum is under the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry and Cultural Affairs Ministry of the French government.
The government on December 1 sent the first consignment of 42 age-old objects while the rest of 189 items would be shipped on December 8.
