Manzurul Sikder, a Bangladeshi doctor working in the United States, recently visited the Sidr-hit areas in southern Bangladesh.
He distributed aid to local people on behalf of Humanity First, an international charity organization.
People in areas like Rangabali and Borobaishdia in Potuakhali district desperately need food and drinking water, he says. They also need long term infrastructure like cyclone shelter and a local hospital, he adds.
Humanity First collected its fund from as many as thirty countries and intends to contribute more in rebuilding lives in cyclone-affected areas in Bangladesh.
