Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina, the two former Prime Ministers of Bangladesh have been spending their Eid Days for the second consecutive time behind the bars. Pprison authorities have as usual arranged a special menu, including fish, beef, mutton and chicken.
They will also be served with desserts. In addition, over the three days of Eid-ul Azha, Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia may have food brought to them from home.
DIG (prisons) Shamsul Haider Siddiqui has, however, said that there is very little chance for Sheikh Hasina to be allowed to speak to her children and sister who live abroad. In the previous Eid the detained Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina spoke to her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy who lives in the USA.
The two leaders have been jailed for the alleged corruption charges and they await legal process.
