The chief adviser, Fakhruddin Ahmed, Thursday night condemned in the strongest term the cowardly attack that led to the assassination of former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto.
‘It was an unpardonable crime that shocked the world. The government and people of Bangladesh mourned this tragedy with their Pakistani brethren,’ the chief adviser said in a message of condolence.
He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls of those, who were killed in the incident.
The speaker Jamiruddin Sircar and the deputy speaker, Akhtar Hamid Siddiqui, mourned the death of former Benazir Bhutto.
In separate statements, they condemned the assassination and said the death of a ‘courageous personality’ like Benazir had created a deep crisis and vacuum in Pakistan.
They prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
