This year 2007 has been a very eventful year from Bangladesh. It began amidst political chaos and confusion with an election looming ahead and a mass demand for reforming electoral laws and the commission itself.
This uncertainty and the fear of political conflicts arising from the lack of conciliations amongst the major political parties brought in remarkable changes in the government. The old caretaker government was replaced by a new one and emergency law was imposed across Bangladesh.
