Bangladesh Chief Adviser to Attend WEF Meeting in Davos


Chief Adviser of Bangladesh caretaker government Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed left Dhaka for Dubai en route to Switzerland on a four-day official visit to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting. The meeting begins on the 24th of January in Davos.

Foreign Adviser Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury and Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Syed Fahim Munaim are among the members of a small official entourage of the Chief Adviser.

Several other leading personalities and entrepreneurs including Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus are also expected to join the Davos meeting.

The Chief Adviser will represent Bangladesh for the first time in the high-profile global platform of political, business and economic leaders in Davos, the headquarters of WEF.
