President George W. Bush in his annual State of the Union Message reassured Americans they can be confident in the country's economic future.
However, he acknowledged the economy is undergoing a period of uncertainty and urged lawmakers to quickly approve a 150-billion-dollar stimulus package.
On international issues, Mr. Bush said there is still work to be done in Iraq. But he said the surge of U.S. and Iraqi troops has achieved results not imaginable a year ago.
