New Bird Flu Cases Detected in Khulna, Bangladesh

Bangladesh detected new bird flu cases Wednesday in the country's southwestern Khulna city, about 140 km southwest of capital Dhaka, putting the number of affected districts to 30 out of all 64 districts.

More than 13 thousand infected birds have been culled in last two days. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh government refuted Indian media’s claim that Bangladesh is the source of avian influenza that has led to its outbreak in West Bengal.

Amir Khasru has more on the story.
