Laila Anjuman Ara began her painting in Bangladesh.
In this exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, Anjuman Ara says that her father was the source of inspiration for her.
Although when she was a little girl, she was attacked with polio , her determination to be a painter remain unchanged. Anjuman Ara studied in the Institute of Arts and Crafts in Dhaka University. Several of her works were presented in solo exhibition in Dhaka and in West Bengal .
Laila Anjuman Ara now lives in New York and she still continues to draw pictures and indulges in paintings despite her busy schedule in New York.
