Political analysts in Bangladesh say that they are closely observing the general election of Pakistan for different reasons.
Pakistan has been a very volatile country over the last few years and it needs to be seen whether after the election the militancy is controlled. It would also determine the future of Pervez Musharraf who has received favor from the USA after the terrorist attacks on the USA on 9/11.
Bangladeshi analysts see some similarity between Pakistan and Bangladesh, not only in Islamic militancy but also in the way both the countries are ruled by the military backed government and they are waiting to see if the countries could really find themselves in Democracy.
