State Minister of housing and public health engineering (PHE) said in a press conference that West Bengal will be arsenic-free by the end of 2010.
Mr. Deb said "We'll make arsenic-free villages across the state by the end of 2010 and after that the people of my state will get arsenic-free drinking water." A comprehensive scheme worth Rs 600 crore has been prepared for that purpose.
