Appeal for Khaleda's Case Revival Dismissed

The Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed Anti-Corruption Commission appeals to revive two graft cases against the detained former prime minister Khaleda Zia which were quashed by the High Court in 2001 and 2002.

A full bench of six judges of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, headed by the chief justice, M Ruhul Amin, dismissed the commission’s petitions which sought permission to appeal against the High Court verdicts on the grounds of delayed filing.
