Gaddi Vasquez , the United States Representative to the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organizations concluded his five=day visit to Bangladesh.
During this visit Ambassador Vasquez personally inspected the conditions of the tornado affected people in the Southern part of Bangladesh. At the end of this visit he told the accompanying journalists that he was impressed by people’s sense of self determination and that the people of Bangladesh, “ seemed prepared , willing and determined to rebuild and reconstruct their lives.
He praised the high values of the Bangladeshi people and added that he was impressed to see people’s sense of unity, women working together and the effectiveness of micro-credit in Bangladesh.
