Detained former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina expressed doubts about parliamentary elections being held by December, as announced by the Election Commission.
She made the comment while talking to her counsel during consultation after adjournment of the proceedings of the barge-mounted power plant deal case in the special court at the highly secured parliament-bhaban complex.
Sheikh Hasina also expressed grave concern over the spiraling prices of essentials. The former prime minister remarked that the government does not have the efficiency to manage the prevailing food crisis.
