British Official Visits Bangladesh, Speaks About Forming Counter Terrorism Working Group


Visiting British Secretary of State for Home Affairs Jacqui Smith said that the British government supports Bangladesh government's reform measures and the ongoing voter registration process ahead.

She made the comment at a press conference.

She also said that Bangladesh and Britain will form a high level joint working group that will meet in June to thrash out details of 'practical programs' on counter-terrorism, which might include sharing of information and counter-terror training.

She met with Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, Home Affairs Adviser Major General (Retd) MA Matin, Foreign Affairs Adviser Iftekhar A Chowdhury and Chief of Army Staff General Moeen U Ahmed during her visit.
