Noboborsho is the Bengali new year which begins on April 14 , this year. As a new years gift people of Bangladesh and India are going to get a train service between Dhaka and Kolkata, the two seats of Bengali culture.
The Moitree (Friendship) Express train will run between Dhaka and Kolkata twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays. The first train which starts from Kolkata at 7:10 am will reach Dhaka Cantonment Station at 8:30 pm local time.
On the same day another train will leave Dhaka at 8:30 am and will arrive in Kolkata at 9 pm Indian time. The advance ticket booking for this train has already begun.
