The West Bengal Chief Minister has ruled out any talks with the separatist Gorkha Jana Mukti Morcha for a separate Gorkhaland state.
However, he is agreeable to discuss more autonomy for the Darjeeling hills. But, the Morcha leadership is not willing to discuss anything short of formation of a new state. Delhi is not willing to grant a separate state.
As the deadlock continues, so does the indefinite general strike.
