Bangladesh
Election Commission has announced schedules for elections in four cities and
nine municipalities.
However, many political parties including the two main
political parties – Awami League and BNP are expressing opposition to the
elections.
They are demanding that the schedules should be withdrawn and that
the general election should be held before local elections. Advisers to
caretaker government say reaction of political parties are baseless because
local elections are not party based.

Farook Shaheen from Barisal and Sangram Singha from Sylhet.
