Bangladesh's attorney general has stepped down, citing
Fida M. Kamal announced his resignation to reporters in the country's capital,
Dhaka on Wednesday.
Kamal was appointed Bangladesh's top prosecutor last year.
His resignation comes just two days after the government introduced new
election rules aimed at cracking down on corruption that is normally rampant in
the country's political process.
