Awami League has announced that it will not take part in any local elections before the parliamentary elections.
Awami League has also vowed to resist any poll under the state of emergency while reiterating its demand for holding the parliamentary poll before upazila elections. AL Acting President Zillur Rahman said that they will not allow any poll under the state of emergency, they will not take part in upazila polls if held before the parliamentary election, and they will also not let anyone else to participate in the elections either.
