U.S. Presidential Hopeful Obama Arrives In London


U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama has arrived in London on the final stop on a world tour aimed at boosting his foreign policy credentials ahead of the November election.

Obama was greeted at Heathrow airport Friday by U.S. Ambassador Robert Holmes Tuttle, his wife Maria, and other officials.

The presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee will meet with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on his London stop.

Obama also plans to meet with former Prime Minister Tony Blair and the leader of Britain's opposition Conservative Party, David Cameron, before returning to the U.S. Obama flew to London after meeting with French President Nicholas Sarkozy in Paris. The two held talks on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as other issues.
