Dr. Mohammad Farooq is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Upper Iowa University. Dr. Farooq teaches courses in macro- and microeconomics, corporate financial management, money and banking, and investments.
Before beginning his teaching career, Dr. Farooq was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. He is active in research and has published in several refereed journals.In an interview with Voice of America's Bangla Service, Dr. Farooq spoke about the current worldwide food and fuel crisis and the world economic trend. He also discusses possible solutions to the crisis.
