The High Court on Wednesday granted six-month bail in five cases to former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s detained son Tarique Rahman.
The home minister told journalists that the government has made significant progress in releasing Tarique for medical treatment abroad.
Meanwhile, police today foiled countrywide protests by the BNP and its allies demanding the release of Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique.
