New York Prepares to Observe 9/11 Anniversary


New York City will observe the seventh anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center with ceremonies at Ground Zero on Thursday.

The City's observance will take place at Zuccotti Park.

The family members and students representing countries that lost individuals will read the names of those who died at the World Trade Center Site on September 11th, 2001.

Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama are expected to be at the site.

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, New York Governor David Paterson and New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine will also be there.

The program will begin at 8:40 a.m.on 11th September, as bagpipers and drummers lead the World Trade Center Flag to the stage.
