Awami League president Sheikh Hasina,
now in USA for treatment after being released by an executive order, and his
detained cousin Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim were on Tuesday granted bail in the
Tk 2.99 crore extortion case.
Hasina, also former prime minister,
may be freed through judicial process if she gets bail in only three more
cases, said her counsel Shafique Ahmed.
Petitions will be filed soon seeking
bail for Hasina in the three cases, he said.
