Deadly Bomb Blast in India's Northeast

Police in northeastern India say a bomb has killed at least 14 people in the city of Imphal.

At least 20 others were wounded in the attack outside a police training center (Tuesday). Officials say several people are in critical condition at local hospitals.

Authorities say the bomb was concealed in a motorcycle. Police have sealed off the area and are looking for the bomber.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Imphal is the capital of India's Manipur state, which borders Burma. The area is a center of separatist activity with more than a dozen active insurgent groups.

On Sunday, a grenade exploded outside the fortified home of Manipur's chief minister (Okram Ibobi Singh). No one was hurt.
