Science Writer Pathik Guha Expects India’s Moon Mission Success to Continue


India has successfully launched its first unmanned mission to the moon. Indian officials say the Chandrayaan-One spacecraft blasted off from a launch pad in Sriharikota near the southeastern city of Chennai early Wednesday.

In an interview with Voice of America’s Bangla Service, Pathik Guha, a renowned science writer and one of the top science journalists of India said he thinks that India’s Moon Mission success will not only increase India’s excellence in science and technology, but will also enrich the scientific study about the formation of the moon.

Mr. Guha who is also an Assistant Editor of Ananda Bazar Patrika said India might send a man to the moon in the next six years.
