Bangladesh is preparing to observe martyred intellectuals day across the country on Sunday.
The nation will remember the best sons and daughters of the country who were brutally murdered two days before the achievement of final victory against the Pakistani occupation forces in the Liberation War of 1971.
President Professor Iajuddin Ahmed and the nation will pay respects to the martyred intellectuals on the day. He will lay wreaths at the Martyred Intellectuals' Memorial at Mirpur and offer prayers. The Chief Adviser, Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed will follow the President to lay wreaths at the memorial and also offer prayers.
