Sheikh Hasina Speaks to the Business Community in Dhaka

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has underscored the need for boosting up country's private sector terming it as the main driving force in mainstream development.

The former Prime Minister said that the decentralization of power is a must to ensure overall improvement. If the AL is voted to government, the state power will be dispersed to district and upazila headquarters. Hasina urged industrialists and business entrepreneurs not to cream off exports and imports, but to create more new market across the globe based on local needs and create jobs opportunities for rural people.

The former Prime Minster was exchanging views with business community leaders highlighting the AL's 'Charter for Changing Days: Vision 2021' at a city hotel on Tuesday morning.

Referring to the AL Election Manifesto, Hasina said if it would be possible to assume office, the government's allocation would be used for social development. The private sector will construct new roads using ultra-modern technology to ease traffic in the capital. Through widened communication system, Bangladesh can be a junction point with the East.
