Dr. AK Momen is a Professor of Economics and Business at Framington College in Boston, Massachusetts. He went to Bangladesh as an election observer.
Dr. Momen analyzed the election results of Bangladesh. He feels the election was free and fair because Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh government and his administration was not partisan and very fair.
He said photo IDs also helped in eliminating fraud. Dr. Momen also said voters were able to wait in line for hours without being afraid of the militants because militants’ influence have diminished in the country.
