The Bangladeshi government has reduced the prices of some widely used non-urea fertilizers. The prices have been reduced to almost half. The aim is to help farmers reduce their cost of agricultural production.
Bangladesh's Agriculture Minister Motia Chowdhury and Industry Minister Dilip Barua said at a press conference that the price cut of the fertilizers is also to encourage farmers to boost food production.
