The 31 newly-elected lawmakers of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's Bangladesh Nationalist Party and its allies took oath on Thursday, two weeks after the landmark general elections brought Sheikh Hasina's Awami League-led alliance in power.
The MPs of BNP-led four party combine, were sworn-in after they decided to join the parliament session after boycotting the January four oath-taking ceremony.
Speaker Jamiruddin Sircar administered the oath of office to Zia and 30 other members of the alliance at the Jatiya Sangad Bhawan (Parliament House).
