Tonmoy Hassan was 5 years old when he came to America with his parents from Bangladesh.
But Tonmoy vividly remembers how the 21st of February was observed in Bangladesh.
In an interview with Voice of America, Tonmoy spoke about the responsibility that one should take as a member of a new generation of Bangladeshi-Americans to be a torch bearer of language movement.
Many lives were sacrificed during the language movement and now the day is observed worldwide as the International Language Day.
