Social Activist Ferhat Kaffey Speaks About Humanitarian Organization Forward Hope


Ferhat Kaffey is a Systems Analyst for Red Cross and one of the Founder members of Forward Hope.

Ferhat is a Systems Analyst with over 15 years experience in information technology. Her emphasis is in application support and document management solutions, analyzing business processes, defining requirements and providing implementation support for both custom and configurable solutions.

Forward Hope is a US based humanitarian organization and helps children and women in Bangladesh.

Forward Hope’s mission is to reach existing educational institutions and provide assistance to students through its’ institutions, provide leadership training for community development workers to teach disadvantaged children to read, write, and care for better health. They are dedicated to promoting the importance of education, health, nutrition, and better environment amongst impoverished communities worldwide.

Forward Hope is run by volunteers and they have practically zero overhead cost. All donations collected go directly to either a poor student who cannot afford the cost of his/her education, to pay for educational tools for existing institutions, nutrition, or family maintenance means. They plan to disburse their resources initially to projects in Bangladesh and partially in the USA. Their mission is focused on early intervention to assist children, disadvantaged women, and disadvantaged families.

In an interview with Voice of America, Ferhat Kaffey spoke about Forward Hope’s mission, accomplishment and future programs.
