Hafizur Rahman is a CPA by profession.
He is working as an assistant director at Washington DC's Center for Aging Services.
Mr. Rahman has been involved in various social welfare activities ever since he was a student at the Dhaka University's Economics Department, before getting his accounting degree in the USA.
Recently Mr. Hafizur Rahman donated money to the Dhaka University's Economics Department to start a scholarship program for talented students.
The scholarship is named after Mr. Rahman’s mother Mrs. Shahera Khatun. In an interview with Voice of America, Mr. Rahman spoke about the Shahera Scholarship fund.
