British Police in Bangladesh to Help Mutiny Investigation

Four members of Britain's Scotland Yard arrived in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, Wednesday to help with the investigation into last month's mutiny by border guards that left more than 70 people dead.

The British police team will work jointly with Bangladeshi authorities, as well as two-members of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who are also assisting in the investigation. Fifty-six army officers were among those killed in the two-day revolt at border patrol headquarters in Dhaka.

Police have detained the suspected ringleader of the deadly uprising, Tauhidul Alam, and others for questioning.Authorities continue to search for 1,000 other border guards and their alleged accomplices.
