The deceased, Lance Naik Mobarak Hossain, 42, ID 48235, who had come to the BDR headquarters in Dhaka from the Rifles Security Unit in Chittagong on February 18, was arrested after the February 25-26 rebellion.
He was under treatment at BDR Hospital,
said Shahjahan Miah, a sub-inspector of Lalbagh police. As his condition
deteriorated, two police constables of Lalbagh police station took Mobarak to
the DMCH where the attending doctors declared him dead on arrival at about
11:00am, Shahjahan said.
The body was sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy and executive magistrate Nurul Karim Bhuiyan prepared the inquest report.
