President Obama has just completed his first visit to Europe since taking office - a whirlwind tour from the G-20 Summit in London, to the NATO Summit in Strasbourg, meeting EU leaders in Prague and on to Turkey for his first official visit to a predominantly Muslim country.

Professor Mohammad Shahiduzzaman teaches in the Department of International Relations at Dhaka University in Bangladesh.
Professor Chowdhury M. Shamim is an Associate Professor of Political Science at California State University Fullerton.
