Fulbright Scholar Ridwana Kabir Orchi Speaks About Her Experiences in US


Ridwana Kabir Orchi is from Bangladesh. She is a Fulbright scholar currently enrolled in Georgetown University's Semester in Washington Program in Washington DC. She is studying American Politics and Public Affairs.

Ridwana is also interning at the "Hudson Institute" under the "Center on Islam, democracy and the future of the Muslim world" concentrating on women, religion and politics in South Asia.

An undergraduate student majoring in English with a minor in Sociology at BRAC University in Bangladesh, Ridwana is in Georgetown University as a part of the NESA, Near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Program, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through the Department of State.

Before attending BRAC University, Ridwana was a student at Mymensingh Girls’ Cadet College in Bangladesh where she was appointed as the College Prefect, the highest rank for leadership, academic and disciplinary excellence.

In an interview with Voice of America, Ridwana spoke about her experiences in US.
