Lisa Curtis is a Senior Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation, focusing on analyzing America's economic, security, and political relationships with India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
In an interview with Voice of america’s Bangla Service, she spoke about the implication of the White House meeting between President Obama, President Zardari of Pakistan and President Karzai of Afghanistan.
The meeting set a change of US policy in Afghanistan and joint US-Pakistan -Afghan efforts to confront and defeat terrorism at its root.
Ms. Curtis explained that US currently has few options to confront rise of Talibans and Muslim extremism in South Asia. She said India predicted years ago the Talibanization of Pakistan.
