South Korean media report that former president Roh Moo-Hyun was critically hurt during a mountain climbing accident Saturday. The Yonhap news agency said he had died.
No other details were immediately available.
Mr. Roh served as president from 2003 to 2008 and was elected on a platform of anti-corruption.
Earlier this month, he was questioned over allegations that he took more than six million in bribes from a businessman while in office.
