Provincial officials in Afghanistan say Taliban militants killed five police officers Sunday in two separate attacks.
A provincial official in the northwest says Taliban militants stormed a
security post, killing four police officers in the province of Faryab.
In a separate incident, an Afghan official said Taliban fighters killed
a district police officer during an ambush in the eastern province of
Paktika.
On Saturday, a suicide bomber on a motorcycle killed at least three
civilians and wounded eight others, including women and children, in
the town of Spin Boldak in Kandahar province.
