Another child reportedly died from complications after taking Vitamin-A capsule and anti-worm tablets in Munshiganj last night.
Piar Hossain of Ballalbari area in Sadar upazila of the district claimed that his daughter Priya Akhter, 6, fell sick after having the Vitamin-A capsule and anti-worm tablet on Saturday which lead to her death.
Earlier on Monday 11-year-old boy Habib of Rajbari district died after taking the vitamin capsule and deworming tablet. Habib was the son of Nizam Fakir, of Doulatdia area in Goalanda upazila.
Several hundred children fell sick in the last two days in Narayanganj, Faridpur, Magura, Chandpur, Jhenidah and Rajbari districts after taking the government-supplied Vitamin-A capsules and deworming tablets.
Nearly 1,000 children fell sick in Narayanganj alone.
