Thousands of chanting demonstrators again have marched in Indian-controlled Kashmir to protest the alleged rape and murder of two young women.
Angry protesters Wednesday shouted "We want freedom" and other slogans as they marched through Shopian -- where the bodies of the 17 and 22-year old women were found in a shallow stream.
Violent demonstrations have taken place in the region since the gruesome discovery last month.
Police initially said it appeared the women had drowned accidentally. However, they later opened a rape and murder investigation into the incident. Many Kashmiris have accused security forces of raping and killing the women.
On Monday, officials in Kashmir said four police officers and a forensic expert had been suspended for allegedly destroying evidence in the case.
