Police in Bangladesh say they have arrested another leading member of
Laskhar-e-Taiba, a group suspected of being involved in last year's
deadly terror attacks in Mumbai, India.
Police say they detained Maulana Habibullah Monday in the capital,
Dhaka. On Saturday, police arrested Mufti Obaidullah, who they say is a
close associate of Habibullah.
Both men are Indian citizens who have been on India's most wanted list.
Officials say the men entered Bangladesh in 1995 and have been teaching
in different Islamic schools since then.
Police say they suspect Habibullah went to Afghanistan more than 20
times when he was living in India. They also suspect he has connections
to another militant group, HUJI.
Officials accuse Obaidullah of trying to encourage people for jihad, or holy war.
