West Bengal: Recent Political Violence

The recent Parliament election in India overhauled the political alliance among India’s diversified political parties. India’s left parties’ dominant role in the 14th Parliament has waned in this year’s poll.

The last parliament election and the very recent local government elections in the state put CPI (M) in a very weak and awkward situation and the Trinamul Congress (TMC) emerged as a possible alternative to the communist ruled government of West Bengal.

Now the weakened CPI (M) and the emerging TMC supporters clash in different places in the state that caused a great concern about the overall peace and stability of the present government.

In today’s show, our guests include Mr. Anjan Bose , Executive Editor – Dainik Protidin , and Dr. Pulak Narayan Dhar, a political scientist.
