A 'concise statement' of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman murder case will be submitted before the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court within a day or two, chief government prosecutor in the case Advocate Anisul Huq said on Saturday.

Mahbubey Alam said that he is ready to move the case for hearing."The chief prosecutor of the case has
assured me that he will submit a concise statement regarding the case on Sunday
or Monday. After submission of the statement the chief Justice would constitute
a bench to hear the killing case. So, I hope the process of hearing of the case
will start within this week," he added.
He said defense lawyers were trying to divert the case into another direction. Citing his previous role in the case, the AG said that in 1998, he moved before the court as a prosecution lawyer and now he would move as the attorney general of the country.
