The shipping ministry of Bangladesh government will take steps to file cases against former shipping adviser Maj Gen (retd) MA Matin for alleged violation of the constitution and irregularities in awarding a deal to a non-responsive company for container handling in Chittagong Sea Port.
Earlier a Parliamentary Committee recommended that a case is filed against him. Shipping minister Shahjahan Khan told newsmen that his ministry would follow the recommendations by the parliamentary standing committee on shipping and refer the case to the Anticorruption Commission.
